Lucknow is gearing up for a major boost in its public transport infrastructure as construction work for the ultra-modern Charbagh Bus Terminal has officially begun. The first phase of development has kicked off with soil testing, marking the beginning of a transformative project set to redefine the city’s transportation landscape.
The upcoming terminal will feature a six-storey structure equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, aiming to provide a world-class commuting experience to passengers. Mumbai-based DGS Township Pvt Ltd has been awarded the contract to execute this ambitious project.
This development is part of a larger plan to modernize Lucknow’s transport network. In parallel, construction is already underway on the Vibhuti Khand Bus Terminal by Omaxe Group, and work on the Amausi Bus Terminal is also set to commence shortly.
Once completed, the Charbagh Bus Terminal will not only decongest the existing bus stand but also integrate commercial, passenger, and service zones under one roof. It will include facilities such as parking zones, waiting lounges, retail areas, food courts, and digital information systems.
This initiative is expected to enhance connectivity, improve traffic management, and contribute to the overall urban development of Lucknow.
