Lucknow: Housing and Development Council has started the process of land acquisition in nine villages here for the new township in Mohanlalganj. Under this, the list of these villages has been sent to the sub-registrar of Mohanlalganj tehsil. It mentions the Khasra numbers of the land of these villages, on which the colony is to be developed. According to the letter sent by the XEN of Housing Development Council, notices have been sent to the farmers of all the villages coming under the scope of acquisition. In such a situation, it is now necessary to ban the purchase and sale and registration of land here.
10 villages usurped for Mohanlalganj township
For the township of Mohanlalganj, lands of Chand Sarai, Kasimpur Biruha, Habuapur, Moazzam Nagar, Sathwara, Siddhpura, Bhatwara, Pahadnagar Tikaria, Kabirpur, Maghua and Beli villages will be taken. Officials claim that most of the farmers are ready to give their land for the township. These villages are connected to Purvanchal Expressway and their distance from Sultanpur Road is also less. In such a situation, the Housing Development Council is expecting much better results from the scheme being developed here, although the officers are also afraid that property dealers and private developers may buy the land here and get it registered even before the scheme starts.
In view of this, the XEN has sent a letter to the sub-registrar of the tehsil for the remaining nine villages apart from Habuapur and Moazzam Nagar. According to this letter, the process of land acquisition under Section-28 has started in these villages. Under this, notices are being sent to the farmers. The gazette for acquisition has also been published. In such a situation, the purchase and sale of land in these villages will be considered illegal. According to Deputy Housing Commissioner Himanshu, this step has been taken to prevent any kind of irregularity in the scheme.
