Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh RERA has prepared to take strict action against property dealers keeping in mind the protection of the interests of home buyers and promoters of the real estate sector. RERA has advised that they should buy and sell units in any real estate project only through agents registered with RERA. If the registered agent has sold the unit by giving misleading or wrong information in the purchase and sale of the unit, then the concerned consumer or promoter can file a complaint against such agent in RERA. The authority will also punish the guilty estate agent. Buying and selling of properties is safe only through agents registered with RERA.
Sanjay Bhusreddy said this
RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhusreddy says that in some cases it has been found that registered agents are promoting projects with wrong information. People are being invited for purchase and sale. The consumer invests in the project through such an agent. This carelessness of consumers can be harmful for them, because in case of any kind of loss due to purchase and sale through unregistered agent, they do not have the facility to get compensation from RERA. He said that before investing in a project through an agent, the registration number of the agent should be verified from the page of ‘Registered Agent’ on the portal of UP RERA (www.up-rera.in) and the concerned agent should be verified by the promoter from the list of agents for the project.
RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhusreddy says that the role of agents is important. In such a situation, transparency and reliability is necessary in the work done by them, so we have made arrangements for training and certification of agents. So that sufficiently professional people work in the sector. Buying and selling in projects will be done after taking all the information and their registration number will be verified from the portal. Our objective is to effectively stop the wrongdoings of unregistered agents and consumers should be safe.
